On March 8, 2025, two session were held at Sendai International Center in Japan, with a great initiative by GCT Climate adaptation, disaster and risk management and prevention. Prof. Takako Izumi, the Japanese chair of this group was connecting between MIRAI and this forum.

These sessions brought together researchers from urban planning, law, political sciences, anthropology, engineering, and environmental sciences to share their expertise on resilient cities and communities. They drew from their interdisciplinary knowledge and experience to discuss the pressing issues urban communities face in Asia, Europe, and beyond. The discussions addressed topics put forward by the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and other targets aimed at building a more resilient world. About 30 participants gathered and had wonderful discussions.
