September 4th: MIRAI Webinar―Connecting Academia and Industry

Join us for an inspiring webinar hosted by the MIRAI Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team, one of the MIRAI Specific Task Teams (STTs), as we explore how academic research and industry can come together to drive innovation.

This session will feature two distinguished researchers from Sweden and Japan who will share real-world examples of successful academia-industry collaborations. Each speaker will deliver a 20-minute presentation, followed by a 10-minute Q&A session—an excellent opportunity to engage directly with experts in the field.

September 26th: Building trust– an introduction to Cultural Intelligence

As part of the MIRAI STINT Work Package on Institutional Competence, we warmly invite MIRAI researchers to join an online training session on cultural intelligence led by Pia Moberg, PhD.

This training introduces cultural intelligence and explores how cultural factors shape interactions, discussions, and decision- making within cross-cultural research teams. You will get practical tools you can apply in your daily life, many examples and hopefully some insights too.

We welcome MIRAI researchers, doctoral students, project managers, university leadership, early career researchers involved in long-term mobility, and all others at MIRAI universities who are engaged in research collaboration between Sweden and Japan to join us.

Pia Moberg is a trainer and lecturer with a focus on CQ, cultural competence and how we create meaningful meetings. She is a certified business and leadership coach and has a PhD in Japanese Studies. Pia’s latest book Meeting Cookbook – Leading Meetings in a Global and Online World helps meeting leaders and meeting participants to effectively conduct their meetings in a sustainable way.
